Roprostine is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist (TPO-RA), a TPO analogue, and a Fc-peptide fusion protein (peptide body).
The peptide body molecule consists of two identical single-stranded subunits, each consisting of the Fc domain of human immunoglobulin IgG1, covalently linked at the cterminal to a peptide containing two thrombopoietin receptor binding domains.
Ropstine was produced in E. coli by DNA recombination technology. Ropstine has no amino acid sequence homology with endogenous TPO.
